We Have Deep Roots
Laminex, our parent company was founded in 1946 as an American manufacturer, and we still stake our reputation on our quality USA Team and made-in-America products. ID Shop was founded in 1981 as a small family-run enterprise, selling Photo ID card printing systems to schools, universities and hospitals. The two companies merged in 2001, and we’re still a family, just now greatly expanded. ID Shop and Laminex are headquartered in Greenwood SC, in the Lakelands of the South. Many of our ID card products are manufactured at our own facilities in Greenwood and Fort Mill SC. The majority of our custom products are designed, manufactured and assembled in the USA, with some components ethically manufactured from our partner factories worldwide.
